Their Dad

Father's Day this year was a blurr. I took one photo. Literally one. With my phone. It was the final Alley oop weekend and it was so busy. We definitely celebrated Brian but the camera was put away and we enjoyed the candid moment in real time (will regret this later.. already do lol) 

 Brian you are such an incredible Dad. When our kids are happy and celebrating life's wins, you are there. When life hands them a big trial and heartbreak, you are there. When they need tough love, you are there. I do not have enough words to describe how proud you make me to be our kids dad. You exceed all my wildest  dreams. I am so grateful for you! Our kids are so lucky to have you! 

We spent the weekend at the biggest basketball tournament in Calgary. It was a tough weekend. All our kids ended up in the consolation bracket but it was still so fun. Brian, like he always is, was there for it all. Every frustrating moment on the courts, coaching on the sideline and doing what he loves most.. being a Dad. 

The kids made him Father's Day cards and we went out for dinner when all said and done. We got him a new Nike hoodie and told him how much we loved him but the real moment came a couple days later when Bentley made Brian a thank you card for coaching. He did it all on his own. Took so much time to thoughtfully think of what he wanted to say and when I read it, I cried. This is their Dad, through and through. 

We love you so much Brian. You really are the best. 

We visited with my Dad and Dad Reed too and gave each of them a new t-shirt with their favourite sports team on it. We have the best Dad's too. Both love us endlessly and we feel it! 

Happy Father's Day to all the Dads out there but most of all for the ones who influenced every part of your Fatherhood. It makes all the difference.
