Where to begin..

Life has been completely and utterly unpredictable the past month. One month ago we woke up like every other day. Got kids to school, Brian off to work and I got started on the day but at 10am Brian was home. He was laid off work. It was a business decision and we were blindsided. Unfortunately, this is the nature of the business. You work hard, make money but when you make too much, they let you go and hire someone with less experience who can run the company you fixed, for less.

We spent the day totally debilitated and quietly thinking (and me spiralling.. shocker) but with peace. We knew exactly what we needed to do! Brian and I are, and always have been, the best team. For years, we've wanted to start our own little business (I say "we" but really.. its Brian's expertise, so Im in the background and behind the camera) and this was the final push we needed.

Although still applying for jobs, of course, we have our heads down determined to make magic happen for our family! I am so proud of Brian. This man works harder than anyone I know!

We are in "crunch time" right now. Working hard and around the clock to finish phase one of this project and to get it launched ASAP!

In the meantime, I love having Brian home. To have lunch together each day is such a treat. I know this won't last forever and Im gonna enjoy it while we can. We are more motivated than ever to take charge of our own time and schedules and obtain financial freedom in this next chapter of our lives. We got this babe!

We have been heads down with kids activities and school, this business development and my photography season has started and is full steam ahead. Good things are happening and we refuse to call this a set back because we are being refined for something great, I can just feel it!

We are tired but happy and gonna make this memory magical! One that we look back on and think "remember when....." and "that was the best thing that could have happened to us".

Onward.
