Triple Jump!

 Whatttt!! I am so proud of these kids! Bentley and Penny did their track meet at school last week and I got to volunteer! I love volunteering every time I can. This time the school asked me to take photos of all the kids and groups and the fun being had and it was awesome. 

Penny was so fun to watch! This was her first official year at track and field with the Jr High kids and although grade 6 aren't competing for divisional's, they still keep score and get to do multiple events. Penny said she loved Track and field which made my heart so happy because I also LOVED track and field as a kid! She killed it out there today!! 

Bentley did not make divisional's last year and he wished he had so his one goal this year was to qualify for divisional's for any of his events and HE DID IT! 

He did multiple events, including, high jump, 100m, long jump and triple jump. He placed 2nd in triple jump and qualified for divisional's! So proud of you!! Way to go Bentley!

Bentley competed in Divisonal's this week and it was awesome. The event he did was Triple Jump and he got 7.83 as his highest score. He was middle of the pack for grade 8 boys and did not quality for zones but we were so proud of him to get where he wanted to be plus he got to do it with his buddy, Willem! 

Track and field is the bookend of school athletics each year and now we are officially on the home stretch of the school year and we are all SUPER happy about it!! The count down to summer has officially started!
