And so it begins
Well, Spring basketball season if off to a great start! We had our first of many big tournaments this past weekend and although it was so exhausting and we all felt hung over on Monday morning, it was literally a blast! All three teams gelled and played hard and I would call it a big success! We had 13 games total for our three kids and by Sunday evening we had lost 2 of the 13, not a bad stat at all! Bentley lost one and Penny lost one and everything else was a well earned "W".
Every game was so fun. Who knew Id love being a "bleacher mom" as much as I do!!
This season we are doing 3 Alley-Oop tournaments at the Olympic Oval. This tournament is so fun because not only do we get to watch our kids but also we get to see all our friends and their kids and cheer on everyone. Its like the biggest family dinner you've ever heard of! Everyone cheering on everyone, friends everywhere, clip games.. these clothes pins that kids decorate and secretly pin on each other during the tournament. Penny made so many and brought so many and was clipped all weekend too.. she has quite the collection now. Genuinely such a vibe!
At the end of the weekend, Bentely's team ended up in 5th (out of 12 teams) and we are so proud of them!! This team has never played together, they're new together and watching them grow all weekend was such a treat! This is going to be a great season for them! Brian is coaching this team and we're all so excited about it. They're gonna do big things this season!
