February Breather

 This was the first real break that Carter had different days off then Bentley and Penny and to be honest, it wasn't my favourite. It had special moments but I missed the actual break of lazy mornings for myself too. While Carter was off, Bentley and Penny still needed to be up and the hustle of the mornings and getting them to school was still very much there. When Bentley and Penny were off, Carter had early mornings and school commitments. It did give me time to focus on each of them a little more individually but Ill always cherish the moments we are all together. 

Bentley and I have started this fun little thing with his new Lego vending machine. He got it for Christmas but every 16 days since, I have filled the little balls up with my own made up mini-figures. We have laughed and smiled and its been fun listening to him tell me which surprise mini-figure he got that day. It takes me about an hour, maybe a little more, and its worth every single second. I love this little bonding moment that just Bentley and I get to share. 

We had one day off together. Brian still had to work in the day but we had the evening off and took that as the perfect opportunity to go to the theatre to see the movie G.O.A.T. We never go to the theatre anymore. We were all really excited about it. 

Carter hung out lots with his friends while Bentley and Penny were in school and the midnight pickups, because it was his days off, with the 7am mornings to get the other two ready for school was a new level of mom'ming. Tired doesn't cut it.. but still, worth it. 

Penny's friend, Jax, set up a little temple trip and lunch for their little group of friends and she LOVED it! 

And while Penny was doing that with friends and Carter was at school, Bentley and I took the oportunity to try Arby's. It was the best little date. I adore this guy and spending one on one time with him!! 

It was a week spent taking a little extra time on things I love. Like, doing Penny's hair (finally she asked me!! YAY!) and making late night snacks from scratch, just because. 

Although this February break looked different than ever before there were still so many cherished moments within it. Still so much welcomed, even if it felt unfamiliar.
