January

 January really does come in as a strange part of the year. Your still busy but not the same kind of busy. The days feel short, the sky is cloudy, its cold and finding motivation feels like finding a needle in a haystack but yet I still am ok with this time of year too. Our life has been on a speed track these days and Im trying to find time to stop rushing around, to slow down and to take a hot minute between the never ending blessed tasks of motherhood. 

We have had so many fun moments in January so far but all with tired eyes and iphone photos. I want to find inspiration to create more. Valentines, Im coming for you! 

January has been stuffed with appointments, basketball and fun! Carter has gone to rehab and Physio, had an ultrasound on his ankles, the dentist, plus ortho too for the boys.

Both the boys advanced in the priesthood in church and Penny started Young Womens. She is 10/10 excited and so so happy! 

We've been doing school projects, studying for final exams and reading report cards. All the school things stacking on top of each other and all three kids are doing great! 

We fixed up the basement into a more useable space with a gym, a comfy couch (thats not broken!) and all their favourite.. a GREAT mini hoop that has been so well loved already!

Carter has been doing great with his high school basketball team and recently his grade 9 friends came to watch a game because Nixon and Carter played against their best friend, Toby. My heart was so fun seeing them all on the court together again.. even if it was separate teams. So happy for these amazing friends who still make effort to be there for each other. 

 

Penny has been hanging out lots with friends and her and Jersey are becoming a little duo of fun. They're hilarious together and constantly making us laugh. Its so fun seeing their little friendship. 

They even went to their very first Junior High Dance together. This little girl gang plus bentleys two best friends came over for pizza and to hang out before. 10/10 would recommend. 

We've been enjoying Sunday dinners with family and cousins, finding time to be lazy (like Kobe!) and Penny and I going to a sisters/cousins Taylor Swift Hang out. Penny and I are also watching the Taylor Swift  documentary series together and LOVING it! I love having this time with her, cuddled up on the couch with a treat. It has been my favourite! 

Our January has felt so much like this post. Just iphone photos from the sidelines of life. Enjoying the smallest of things while still feeling the chaos of schedules and appointments. Im here for it all.
