A New Year
Oh hi, 2026, nice to meet you. Let's be great friends. Let's not fight or make things hard. Do you like to adventure? Us too.. come on in and have a seat.
My hope this year is to be able to see beauty in the mundane things, find more time to let my little crafting spirit blossom and say yes to as many adventures with our family as possible!
This morning, Penny got to go to the temple for the first time. She was excited! We booked the font for 9:30am. It was a freezing morning but the most beautiful sight. The trees were covered in the thickest frost! Honestly, magic.
It was cute. Penny did baptisms and confirmations (along with the rest of our family) and she loved every minute of it! She wanted to stay and do more. She said 10 time "I can't wait to come back!". Mom and Dad Reed came too. It was special to have them there with us as well.
This girl is so special. She is always up for trying new things without any hesitation. She truly is straight from heaven. Penny, you are going to bless so many people throughout your life. You are one of a kind!
We had a busy day but truly it felt so calm. Maybe because it started off with the temple. Bentley had a basketball practice for school, Brian and I loaded up the trailer and took a massive load to the dump. We got prescriptions, did laundry, made gluten free and regular cinnamon buns and Brian and Carter are currently out playing basketball at the gym until 11pm. We even had time to do our Year in Review.
Tomorrow is a slow day. Church starts at noon. Our last day before back to school and we are going to soak it up in sweats and movies and beef on a bun. These days are just the best. All under one roof, hanging out and staying warm. These seriously are the best day.
Cheers to 2026!
