Spooky, Freaky, Happy Pumpkins

Its that time of year again where we all (including the kids because this year I even asked lol) don't want to miss out on the tradition of carving pumpkins but also just want them to be done.. lol.. funny how traditions sometimes feel like that but we also don't want to give them up. Hahaha. Luckily this time (yet again because of the teachers strike) we had a little extra time on our hands and were able to do them earlier and not at 9pm on October 30th like it usually feels like!

I think they turned out so cute this year! We listened to halloween music, ate candy and carved away! Bentley pulled out gloves this year and what a great idea that was for them!

Bentley had some fun with the pumpkin guts and we all got a good laugh out of it.

Each of them designed, drew and cut their own pumpkin almost completely on their own this year. I love how they turned out!

They've sat on our front step for a week and looking a little shrivelled and many more spookier than ever at this point but they're done and we were all pretty happy about it!
