Sun Shiny Day

We are going to squeeze out every last ounce of summer that we can and lucky for us.. the rain seems to have stopped for a couple of weeks of sun! We have watched a family movie on every night off as a family and have had super boring days filled with nothing and also super busy days filled with everything. We are preparing for school on the sidelines but until that morning bell rings on the first day we are going to soak in the glory of the short summers we have!

Last week, Bentley did a Volleyball training camp. It was every morning from 9am-10:30am. He did it with his cousin, Sawyer (these two are the best of friends and it makes me so happy to see how close they are to each other!). Bentley loved every minute of it and said he wished it wasn't ending at the end of the week.

He even got two awards. One mid week for player of the day and one at the end of the week for player of the week. Way to go, Bentley!

We are nearing the end of our summer bucket list and the second last thing we did was make homemade popsicles. Brian was the real Champ here who made these with the kids. Fresh watermelon, blueberry, honey popsicles. The kids didn't like them.. I thought they tasted just like frozen watermelon and would be super refreshing on a hot day but I guess you can't win them all. "A Plus" for effort.

And we can't forget Kobe's latest adventure to the pet hospital one night with Brian. Kobe ate something but we still aren't totally sure what exactly (maybe gushers fruit snacks?) and had a big allergic reaction. This poor guy was SO ITCHY! We knew there was no way he could handle the night without some attention and it was after hours for vet clinics so Brian took him to the 24 pet hospital where he waited 3 hours to see a doctor. Kobe's reaction was so bad that he had two injections... one steroid and one antihistamine .... luckily it helped and he was back to normal within hours. Yay Kobe! But also... please STOP eating EVERYTHING!! You're five man!

And while Im drowning in photos, I was taking wedding photos, (grateful but overwhelmed!) Brian and the kids went on the best adventure! He took them on a 4km hike straight up to summit a mountain! These kids are amazing and Brian said they did so good with little complaining. They should be so proud of themselves! The views looked spectacular and I was feeling kinda jealous not to be with them but SO happy they got out to those mountains together and had a great day!

And I cant forget our annual Beach Day with my siblings and their families. I LOVVEEE this day! My sister-in-law, Sara, and I both work so many evenings and weekends in the summer so its always hard to plan and organize a time that works for everyone but this once a year tradition really is the best and I am so grateful we make time to do it. I left my camera at home so the only two photos we got were of the boats we made and the start of the race. We will never beat our sweet Ausmus family.. they kill it every year with the boat race! Next year, we're coming for ya!

I appreciate these summer memories so much. I love this beautiful phase of chaos we are in and will cherish every moment of it while it lasts! Here's to another sun shiny day!
