Percussion
Another June, another spring band concert. Last night Bentley performed in his school spring band concert for the last time. He doesn't plan to take band for grade 8 or 9 so this was his band bookend. I am proud of him and he killed the percussion instruments he played.
The grade 7 band played 3 songs and everyone did a great job. Bentley's music teacher pulled us aside after the concert and told us how much she appreciated Bentley. No amount of perfect instrument playing could ever be better than hearing your kid is making a positive difference to someone.
A few of Bentley's friends weren't able to make the concert night but his ride-or-die was there and they crushed the performance together.
Grandma Reed came to watch the afternoon performance (but I forgot to snap a photo) and Grandpa Reed came to the evening one.
And Grandma Gardiner came to the evening one too. He felt loved, we are grateful for grandparents!
I love you so much, Bentley! I am proud of the person you are and the way you show up for everyone around you. You are such a blessing to everyone who knows you! You did so great tonight and I feel so lucky to have been sitting second row making googly eyes at ya! I am the lucky one!
Love you buddy, way to go!
