Badminton!

Phew, another season just finished with one last serve of Badminton! Bentley tried out and made it onto the grade 7, mixed doubles, badminton team this year. Despite Carter doing badminton in grade 7 and in grade 8 (although totally regretting it in grade 8 lol) he stuck firm in his decision not to do badminton in his grade 9 year. 

Bentley has been practising twice a week with one exhibition tournament earlier in the season and one final tournament on Wednesday this week. The best part? Bentley got to be mixed doubles with his cousin, Sawyer! These two are hilarious together. Always having fun, laughing and although wanting to win.. never taking it too seriously. It's been a great experience and an awesome first year of badminton for Bentley! 

After 5 games including winning in the semi finals by 15 to 13 against the other team from our school on a final serve and only loosing to the actual badminton school, Bentley and Sawyer got 3rd place overall and took home a bronze medal. 

We are so so proud of these two! How fun is that! It was extra fun watching my guy along with my niece! Luckiest Mama/Auntie!! I fell pretty confident that Bentley will do badminton again next year but I guess we will see. Until then, this badminton season is all wrapped up and we're ready to take on the next awesome opportunity!
