43, Spicy P.

Penny has KILLED this basketball season. Wearing Jersey #43 ("43 Spicy P) had me clapping and cheering and winking at her on that court every chance I got. I was lucky because I got to go to almost every one of her games this season! With Brian coaching both the boys, anytime their games overlapped I got to be at Penny's game. Watching this girl play basketball is so much fun. She is fierce and plays hard and is so good for her team. They help lift her up and pass her the ball to make a jump shot (her favourite!). She is the best Hype-Girl on that bench and never hangs her head when it gets tough. This is a quality I hope she never looses.

Penny got to play the whole season with one of her besties, Jersey. These two are so cute together and this has made their friendship blossom. We're so excited for them to be together again for club ball.

Penny played community U11 Girls Division 1 and her team was nearly undefeated! They had one loss this season and came out on top by playing their hearts out and taking home the gold medal in the city final. WE ARE SO PROUD OF YOU, PENNY!!

This team has been so so good for Penny. She has been such a key player and has developed so much this season. Taking home the gold was a cherry on top and so well deserved! They worked so hard all season. Penny, you are such a joy to watch. We are so blessed to call you ours! We will proudly say you belong to us for the rest of forever! You're the best!

Penny's Div 1 gold medal got them a spot in Provincials this year. This is Penny's first year at provincials and we were all excited about it! Penny was most excited of all! She played one game on Friday and won, played a second game on Saturday and won and got to play in the final for gold on Sunday! Even though her games weren't until later in the mornings, she was up and full of excitement before 7am! This girl was hyped and it made the moment even sweeter!

Penny played her heart out all weekend!! She was amazing!

It was a close game throughout but in the end our girls ended up winning gold by 55-39! We were so excited for them!

We had the best cheering squad for her final too! It was such a fun weekend.

And nothing beats playing with one of your besties. Im so happy for these girls and their big win to finish off the season. It really was the perfect cherry on top!

Penny, we are so so proud of you. You have giving it your all this season and watching the love of the game flourish in your heart has been really sweet to witness. We love you forever, girl!

And with that, another busy season ends right before we welcome the club ball season. I am so proud of these kids. They should be so proud of themselves too. This season has been the craziest to date! I just had to look back an calculate how many practises and games we've played since the end of September to now. I was shocked. We had a total (including Carter, Bentley and Penny) 120 practises to get to and 99 basketball games. This doesn't include tryouts or training or anything extra just practises and games for our 5 basketball teams over the fall/winter season. I am proud of Brian and I too. This is no easy task. Dividing and conquering every single day. Taking any night we did have off to have movie nights as a family or friends over to hang out. No wonder we are tired!

However, I wouldn't trade any of it for the world. I want to be at every single game. I want to drive and carpool kids around listening to their comments and jokes frustrations as I wait at a red light. I want to be apart of it all. I want to be there so much that they never doubt how much I love them or want to be there for them.

I want them to call me when they're older just to tell me about their day. I want to sit on the sidelines at our grandkids games or dance recitals or bowling competitions! I want to be there. This is the greatest blessing of life and Brian and I are so lucky to be able to experience it with such a great passion. We really do love it all so much.

So, bring it on. Bring on the crazy of club ball, because we are going to rock it with smiles on our face! Let's get it.
