Insert giant exhale out here...
I am genuinely on the struggle bus, but worse. Like a struggle bus falling apart with only two wheels driving down the highway. That's me, in the front row.. crying. My anxiety is sky high, I feel like I'm forgetting everything and my brain literally feels like mash potatoes.. alsmot to the point of maybe needing to seek a diagnosis lol
I am overstimulated, overwhelmed and need a minute, but I don't have one and when I do, I feel anxious that I'm forgetting something. I know it's a season in life right now but I wish there were more hours in a day to accomplish the never ending to-do list.
And with all that being said, there's still so many moments I want to remember. So many beautiful silver linings of life shoved between the hard.
We've been elbow deep in volleyball season with tournaments almost every weekend. Dividing and conquering is our current method of survival. With both boys playing school volleyball on separate teams we sure are getting our volleyball cup filled and it's been pretty wonderful!
Carter and I recently went to Red Deer for an overnight volleyball tournament. The team all stayed together while the parents stayed in the same hotel but separate. Those boys had a BLAST but you can imagine how little of sleep they each had that night.
They ended up getting 4th place in the tournament and then to top it all off, Carter.. who was on the mend from being sick when we left for Red Deer ending up getting really sick when we got home on Sunday. Fever, really bad cough and sore throat.. and... drum roll please... PINK EYE! Urrgggggggg.
So he's been home since. Poor guy.
Penny had her primary presentation on Sunday (best Sunday of the year!). She had a solo and she was PERFECT! Her beautiful little voice was unmatched and she literally sounded like an angel. Penny, you have the most beautiful voice and I am so proud of you! You should be proud of you too!
We even welcomed a new family member to our home this past weekend! Meet Stanley. Penny's new little friend. He is so cute and loves to "chat". Whenever she goes close to the tank, he meets her at the front and hangs out in the front until she leaves. Fish can do cute things like that on purpose right?! lol Seems silly but kinda feels right.
We're right in the thick of Grade 5, Grade 7 and Grade 9 and getting our butts kicked by the schedule (or maybe that's just me...) but everyone has had a great start to the year and there's no stopping this train now!
With a racing heart, a million things to do and not enough hours in the day, prayer is currently my best friend. Praying the of the week with birthdays, halloween, tournaments and more goes smoothly. That's not too much to ask, right?
