Please don't end.

 I hate that summer is coming to an end. We have one week left before school starts. Before homework and sports, early mornings and social situations we will have to navigate but wish we didn't need to. To be honest, I am not ready for it. So, we will try to use the last week of summer as best as we can! We have been up to lots of fun recently! 

Penny has been crushing lemonade/jewellery/concession stands this summer. This little hustler has made BANK this summer because of it! Way to go, girl! 

We've also been trying to keep the kids busy in the evenings so that screens don't swallow up all our time together. Last week we did our family game night! Sorry is such a fun (new-to-us) game. I used to play it lots when I was little but it's been so long. Playing it together as a family was fun and, of course, competitive. 

We made our  fancy tropical summer drink and played a painting portrait game! This game was HILARIOUS! We loved every minute of this! Everyone was giggling and doing their best. We picked names and had to paint that person's portrait... 

We had 30 minutes to paint each other and then the big reveal. WE ALL DIED OF LAUGHTER! That entire living room was filled with joy and it was amazing! 

The boys did a basketball camp all last week and I kept Penny busy with her friends and shopping. Grandma Reed even hosted a girl cousin sewing club! Penny LOVED this little afternoon! Everyone had a great time. 

We even spent one night a couple of weeks ago taking Mom and Dad Reed out for a bday dinner for them. This was the perfect way to celebrate them! 

I am really wishing that summer was just one month longer. A little longer to relax and adventure. One more month of a crowed house filled with friends. One more month of sleeping in and not worrying about school. Unfortunately, time continues on. We will just have to cherish going into the final week of Summer!
