Geeking Out!
Spring Break has started! YAY!!!!!!!!! Last week, when I asked our kids.. "Hey, what are some spring break ideas that you'd like to do over the week off?" Carter quickly responded with "Science experiments!" .. I was pleasently surprised and was all in! I went and found 5 experiments that were relatively easy to do and made sure we had all the supplies for them.
On (Easter) Monday all our friends were busy so it was the perfect day to do them! Each experiment a little different than the next and each new experiment brought a new type of excitment. Though they were really REALLY messy..it was worth it! From moving water, to bouncy balls to unpoppable bubbles (that absolutely popped lol) and hot ice, it was AWESOME! I love that we have kids who love to do these things. We laughed a lot, saw some cool things, cleaned up the mess and have so many new experiments under our belts that were simple and fun to do.
Their favourite one you ask? The Cloud dough.. which isn't even an experiment but more like a recipe.. like making playdoh .. lol.. all that work and the cloud dough was the favourite! The Bouncy balls were so so cool but broke pretty quickly. Maybe we didn't let the set properly and the "unpoppable" bubbles definitely popped but we saved the liquid and will try again this summer because maybe it was too cold outside for them.
All in all, it was a great afternoon geeking out with my three favourite humans! Yay for Science!
