Onward & Upward.

This past week was our February reading week. The kids were off all of last week. I always look forward to this week off with them but this one in particular had a heavy weight attached to it. Still so grateful they were home but I'd be lying if I didn't admit to crying nearly every day from the heaviness of life. So many big things weighing on my heart and truly my heart and soul in so many places at once that often made me feel empty without them inside of me. None of which are my stories to tell but all my stories to support. It was just a lot. Nevertheless, it was nice that they were home and one less thing to worry about. So grateful for these forever best friends.
Thankfully, our week was booked with birthday party commitments, gym times playing basketball, dentist appointments and simple mall dates. Every day had some commitment to get out of the house and get to. It was just a week of trying and that was effort enough.
Last Wednesday, Bentley even lost his very last baby tooth! The tooth fairy still hasen't come... she's clearly falling apart too.
The photos I took this week are yet another representation of the survival mode we've been feeling. I am so grateful for Brian and his constant support as we work as a team to navigate the storm.

Although this week off with our kids was nothing like we imagined, nothing we would have hoped for, it was still nice to take early mornings, school lunches, homework and school sports off the calendar for a week. We were back into routine this morning and Im trying to emulate positive vibes for them. Bentley's new teacher starts today and I hope he has the very best day.

Onward and Upward.
