Level 8. Keep on Keepin' on.

Ok. Level 8. He's amazing! So brave! Such a powerful kid! This week, Carter went to Level 8 of his peanut trial.. like WHAT?! This amount of peanut butter would have literally killed him within minutes 5 years ago. When I think about it too much it honestly kind of freaks me out. But he's doing it! Taking it every day! Drinking probiotic, staying away from sickness and making sure his bosy stays healthy.. I just think Carter is amazing in a million ways and this is no small task!

Carter had to wait an extra 6 months for this next level trial. When he tested positive for celiac back in August, they said it would for sure affect his peanut numbers and they were really hoping that his body would start accepting the peanut protien faster once he was 6 months gluten free. We got results a couple of weeks ago that his anaphalactic peanut protien numbers went down 30%!!!! That is unheard of for Carter. WOW! So we got bumped to level 8 and away we go. More blood work next August and we'll see if we can go to level 9 or maybe even skip right to level 10! All good things for this kid.. even though this particular appointment is awful and painful and so so annoying to be itchy with hives that you cannot itch. He rocks it every single time. I am so proud of you, Carter!

In other news, a few weeks ago our school did "Dress as your favourite book character" one day as part of their literacy week. Pretty quickly we had our very own Matilda! How cute is she!!

Bentley, being in grade 6, wasn't sure if he wanted to participate or not. Wondering if he would be the only one in his class/grade to dress up.. or not... he was torn, so he went with a very safe dress up. Just his normal jersey... from a bball book we have. It was perfect for Bentley!

And now, we just keep on keepin' on in this beautiful life.
