House of the Lord

Last Thursday, February 22 2024, Bentley got to go to the temple for the first time to do baptisms. We made a point to take him ourselves before any youth activity at the temple. There is just something to be said about experiencing these moments with your kids. Good experiences or not, just being there is what its all about.

Bentley has been really excoted to go to the temple. Carter has been going for 2 years now and has loved it each and every time so Im sure watching his big brother experience the house of the lord helped with his desire to go too.

Penny is still too young to go so that lucky girl got to have a "playdate" with her 4 year old cousin, Gwen. So sweet.

We got to the temple with a few minutes to spare. Bentley was calm and just taking it all in. The baptism font is always so cool to see and it was nice to cuddle up beside him in the chapel as we waited for our turn.

Brian did the baptisms for both the boys while I witnessed them. They each did 5 names. Bentley said that he wishes they could have done more.

While sitting in the temple, Bentley got a HUGE shiver run through his entire body. We chuckeled that the spirit was REALLLLLYYYY wanting him to notice the spirit in the temple. It really is just different to some level.

It was so nice getting to be there with Brian and our boys. Bentley said he really enjoyed it and felt the spirit. He is excited to go again.

Through our hectic heavy week, it was nice to be here with Bentley (and Carter) in this moment. It wasn't even an hour long but exactly where our hearts needed to be. Bentley, there is something so wildly special about you. You just have a spirit that is magnetic. We are so proud of the young man that you are. You are wise beyond your years. Love you sweetheart, this night was special to spend with you. Love you sweetheart.
