Spikes, Blocks & Digs

Carter played for the Junior Boys Volleyball team at school the past couple of months. It seemed to take a while to get their stride as a team but in the end it all came together. This Volleyball team was a mix of kids who really wanted to be there and a few who didn't seem to care much. They practised Mondays after school at Tuesday mornings at 7am before school. They won games, lost games and played in 3 full weekend tournaments. They made it to the second round of playoffs and I am proud of them!

Carter was a key part of their team. In fact, after loosing a really close game in the second round of playoffs, the coach came up to Brian and told him that Carter is an elite Volleyball player and had been a great leader on their team. He had nothing but amazing things to say about Carter!

Carter, you gave it your all this entire season on that court. You hustled and encouraged your team and had some awesome spikes, blocks and digs! You showed up every single time. You are awesome!
Carter's serves improved SO much from last year and it was always a sense of relief when Carter got up to serve because we knew it meant we'd get a few fast points.
Carter got MVP during our High River Tournament and the team took home Bronze.
And of course, how can we forget about the friendships along the way. This is one of the best parts of school sports! You get to know so many more people and build connections and friendships outside of school.
He had three great coaches who we are so grateful for. School sports wouldn't be able to happen without teachers and paretns who volunteer their time to make it all work. So, thank you.. thank you.. thank you!!!
It has been soooooo fun watching you play, Carter. I love how much you developed this season. You are awesome. Watching your commitment level to your team, especially when things were hard, was such a testiment of your character.
We love you bud. Thanks for being you, you are awesome!
