Bentley is ELEVEN!
Oh my goodness, what can I even say that will perfectly articulate how amazing Bentley is. Im not sure there are enough words to accurately express our love for this boy. Bentley is seriously ONE. OF. A. KIND! He completely emulates happiness, joy, compassion and selflessness. He is mindful of all scenarios.. so much so that sometimes it worries me that kids his age shouldn't be worrying about certain things but yet, he thinks about them.
We vistied with Grandparents early this year because Halloween is always such a busy night to begin with and we also had Bentley's first option of a Steak dinner on Sunday night so that Brian would be home to make the perfect BBQ'd steaks. It did not dissapoint and it was fun to make Bentley feel special on more then just one day!
We were so excited to celebrate this boy. Like, ELEVEN!!!! What a fun age. Bentley requested homemade chocolate chip cookies to share with his class. They have two celiac kids and one dairy allergy so I made sure to make options for everyone. It made me so happy that he could share his favourite cookies with his classmates this year.
Bentley requested Waffles for breakfast and left-over steak in his lunch!
And while they were at school, I got everything set up for a successful evening of gifts, cake and trick-or-treating!
After school, it goes so quickly. As soon as Brian got home from work, we ate dinner. "Bugs & Cheese" was Bentley's Halloween Dinner request. Then, gifts.. He has been really excited about his Miami Heat Beach Towel (we got one for his best friend too for his birthday so they were matching) and LOOVVVVEEEDDDD his new hat! The moment he put it on, it never came off for the rest of the night.
We sang our boy Happy Birthday and had a Toronto Raptors Ice Cream Cake before heading out trick or treating!
I could love and squish this boy forever. We went out with SO MANY friends for trick-or-treating and since Bentley's best friend, Baylor, is also born on Halloween, they always get to celebrate their birthdays together.. doesn't get any better then that!
Bentley, there is something so wildly special about you. Your smile is contagious, you always know how to make people ffeel better and you make me want to be the best I can because you deserve that. You bring such a special spirit into our home and we are so so lucky to call you ours!!
You are kind and funny and SOOOO nice because you share your Birks with me... daily! You came into this world 11 years ago and changed my life in and instant. God knew I needed you.
