Basic Pumpkins
Ok, I realize its too early for pumpkin carving because they will definitely not make it to halloween but we don't stay home to trick-or-treat so its ok if they don't last and the reality is that we have no other free nights between now and halloween (not sure if thats exciting or depressing.. TBD). We had one night off this week and so we did it! We decorated the house, carved pumpkins and watched a comedy.
This year everyone did their own pumpkins. Brian helped Penny with the carving but otherwise, everyone did their designs, gutting and carving. It was awesome!
I got all different sizes in pumpkins and the boys and Brian and I all wanted the smallest one .. haha... now I know for next year the commitment level of this tradition. 4 small pumpkins it is!
We ate candy, watched Grown Up 2, and carved away. It was fun to do this with them even though Im not the biggest pumpkin carving fan. We all did VERY basic pumpkins (which also was a win in my eyes) and I think they turned out perfectly!
