The In-Between

Not only has our summer been top-shelf-fun but we've been checking things off our summer bucket list as we go and wishing we had done a few things sooner in life.. like... Make a homemade pie! All the credit goes to Brian for this one! He stayed home with the kids and did this pie from scracth with them and it was so yummy!! Unfortunately for Brian, we shared it at family dinner and now he is in change of making pies for thanksgiving because it was so good.. lol Yay Brian!
Not only was the homemade pie amazing but we also had homemade lemonade on the summer bucket list and OH MY GOSH!!! HOOOWWWW have we never made this before! I found a recipe for Strawberry lemonade and it was perfect in every way. The kids did all the work and I helped from the side lines. We have saved this recipe and will use it for years to come. I think Great-Grandpa Reed was there in spirit and so proud that we mastered his favourite drink, first try.
Our sweet Bentley has been loosing teeth non stop and it feels like he barely has any teeth left.. but you know.. he's keeping the tooth fairy happy so thats good!
We went to the Barbie movie as a family and with our Walker Friends and it was 10 out of 10!! So so SO good!
And in a little heavier new, Penny and I did a quick one hour shopping therapy session after some friends were unkind and hurt her feelings. Don't worry though.. the mall helped every situation except the bank one... lol
Carter has been re-tested for Celiac desease and we get results on Friday (bracing ourselves for the worst)..
And both the boys are in Basketball Camp this week and are LOVING IT!!! Its such long days (9am-3pm) and I dont know how they survive it but every time I pick them up, they're all smiles and say "its amazing". So yay for a successful week at basketball camp!

Keeping the house tidy, the laundry up and having a meal plan is just about the only thing we are failing at right now... its all about the season I guess.
