Celiac

Urg, last week my heart broke a little for our boy. Carter seems to be the kid with everything. The one who's affected by artifical food dyes, the one who's allergic to grass and dogs and cats.. the one who has to have a probiotic yogurt everyday no matter how much he hates it because he's severely allergic to peanuts and in a peanut trial to try to help that. He just seems to get it all and last week he tested positive for Celiac.
He felt so defeated. So did I. Dealing with a Celiac kid is so much different than dealing with a Celiac Husband. I feel grateful that we have two years of Celiac education under our belts before this happened and that we already know lots of great GF options and brands but man, this stinks for Carter and I feel for him.
Carter (and Bentley!) was at basketball camp when I got the call from the doctor with test results so Penny and I ran to the store to make Carter a little GF basket to help lessen the blow. It's going to feel really different for him but I hope he knows we're in his corner and we will get through it like we always do.
I love you Carter, Im so grateful for you and your attitude towards this new trial. You are amazing and I know you will crush this diagnosis like you do with everything.
