Conference Weekend

General Conference weekend has evolved so much over the years. With higher expectations for kids to listen when they were younger than now... why is that? I think we have officially outgrown "Mom's General conference store" which is sad but also just pushing us into another amazing phase which I know we're gonna love too.

We made fresh out the oven cinnimon buns for breakfast. I think Great Grandma Reed would be so proud.
This conference, we painted bird houses while listeneing to the morning Sunday session. It was actually the perfect activity. I am excited to have them hanging in our trees and bringing some fun colour into our backyard.
Like, seriously, so cute! For the afternoon session, we played word games while listening and ate this MASSIVE candy board that I made. Which by the way took days to finish because there is so much more then it looks.
It was simple to relate to a few of the talks but the one that stood out most to me was from our prophet. President Nelson. His words were so powerful. He spoke about not judging others. To mend relationships and to love as the saviour did. It just really hit home. I think we could all do a little better.

I am grateful for conference, and the way we choose to experience it. Everyone is different. I love keeping hands busy and the speakers loud and getting whatever we need from it without falling asleep on the couch. That was a real problem way back when! This conference weekend also kickstarted our spring cleaning. We worked our butts off the next three days. Blinds, windows, walls and baseboards and even the carpets. My elbows are still hurting but I had great help and I am so thankful all those nasty jobs are behind us!
Onto the week and moments ahead!
