Terry Fox & Colour Run Day!

School is in full swing! Reading, homework, presentations and even feelings of being tired and overwhelmed at times. This afternoon our kids did the Terry Fox/Colour Run at school and it was so fun. I am so happy that I was able to go and watch the kids do this. Within minutes of being down there is was chaos but awesome. Kids everywhere ready to go! It was so fun to find our kids with all of their buddies. This makes me so happy.

The Terry Fox Run was coupled with the Colour Run this year and all the kids were pretty excited about it. I waited at the last colour station. It was so fun watching them come in.. and then it got crazy!

Poor Carter got not one but TWO wasp bites during this race. One before the race started and one during the race. I knew I couldn't hug him with all his friends around but I sure wanted to when he came up to show me. Bentley was recently stung at recess too .. right on his neck, it hurts when they hurt. My heart hurt for them. However, it really didn't slow Carter down.. he came in 8th place and is headed to divisonals with his buddies. Way to go, Carter!

These kids were a mess!!

They all got to choose who they were running for today. Carter chose to run for the end of Cancer all together. Bentley chose to run for his Great-Grandpa and Penny chose to run for my dear friend, Holly.

They all got blown down with a leaf blower but it didn't really help all that much. It was fun though.

Everyone definintely needed to have a shower the moment we walked in the door! Check out Penny's hair!

I am so grateful for this run school, for Terry Fox and for all these kids living this life full of fun opportunities!
