He is risen

Everyone always anticipates Easter Sunday. It is one of our favourites.

We wake up to the famous Easter Bunny surprises and treats from Mom and Dad. Everything was done and ready to go. The kids woke up to the Easter Bunny scavenger Hunt and Easter baskets from Bri and I and everyone was full of excitement.

Penny was so cute and even wrote the Easter Bunny a little note reminding him that Easter is also her favourite stuffy's birthday. This is what her letter said.. "To: the Easter bunny. It is my stuffy's birthday tomorrow I hope you will give her a easter basket. From Penny" On the back it said "For easter hunting her name is Mim Mim. From: Penny"

The Easter Bunny even did!! Lucky MimMim.

The kids woke up right at 7am and couldn't wait a minute longer! They were very happy!

The Easter Egg scavenger hunt began!

The moment that the scavenger hunt was finished the door bell rang and our easter took a surprise turn! Our fun neighbour, Scott, was sneaky and placed two easter baskets on our front step. How fun is that! We were all surprised and despite half of them being peanut butter, we still all appreciated the thought so much.

The kids immediately starting making him thank you cards and we then went and did a ring and run on him. We heart attacked his door with fun notes and thank you cards and they kids even shared some of their easter egg treats!

We spent the afternoon with my side of our family. My parents hosted Easter dinner and it was so fun to be together. We missed Paisley and Sara so much. Mom always sets such a beautiful table, she really loves doing it.

The boys played basketball with Grandma (A true highlight for them!) and pretty quickly everyone joined in.

And even played a long, healthily and commpetitive game of Minute to Win it. It was fun seeing everyone play!

Although our Sunday was filled with fun, perhaps the most special part of it was being reminded of the beautiful attonement and sacrifice our Saviour made for each and every one of us. Being reminded that he knows us personally and is in our constant presence.

Truly, the reason for the season is Christ.
