Just two bad days..
Recentley we had Parent Teacher Interviews. Because of Covid, these interviews were done over the phone. A simple 10 minute phone call from each teacher and that was that. I always get so nervous with PT interviews. I don't know why. I have no reason to be nervous about them, I know the teachers wouldn't wait until these interviews to tell me if something was really wrong or going on but for some reason, I always just feel all of the nerves.
Leading up to the interviews we always give our kids the opportunity to tell us anything that they think might get brought up during the interviews so we aren't shocked by anything. Carter simply said "No, nothing! I think I've been doing really good!". Penny also said shes been doing good and finished it off with "I think my teachers love me!" and then we came to Bentley. He is our logical one. He thought about it long and hard and then said "You know what. I did have two bad days... I think one was on September 20th and September 22nd". I couldn't help but laugh. Like, seriously this kid is the best. HA!
Of course when Mr. Ellis asked me if I had any questions or concerns about Bentley I said I didn't but told him the two bad days story. He laughed so much too and then nicely told Bentley "Well, if you did have two bad days, I don't remember them so they couldn't have been that bad". We all laughed and it was so fun to see Bentley soak in all these moments of pure silliness.
All three of them are doing good in school. We are so proud of these three. We get their report cards at the end of this week and are excited to move into the next term and see all the fun projects they do and crafts they bring home.
November has proven to keep up the busy pace of our lives. At the beginning of November we had my niece, Paisley, sleep over and the girls HAD A BLAST! Seriously I am so grateful for their little cousin friendship. They always get along so good and making these fun memories is what childhood is all about! Would you believe Penny's room was spotless before their one night sleepover.
Carter also has been loosing molars non stop it seems like. Yikes! All his adult molars are coming in and the empty spaces won't be empty for long but it does seem to be happening so fast!
This week I am focusing on catching up. Catching up on photography editing, cleaning and laundry. Prepairing for Carter's Birthday on Saturday and knowing Christmas is just around the corner. I am determined to keep caught up and soak in all the joy that the next few weeks will have to offer.
