Flag Football Tournament
Well, another sport has wrapped up. We are so proud of Carter and his willingness to try new things, even if it was positive peer pressure that really coaxed him into trying Flag Football with his Grade 6 teammates.
I spent the whole day outside at the high school football field in Okotoks watching my little man rocking that field with his team. They played 5 games total in their tournament and won them all! Actually, they were undefeated in their regular season too. SO SO proud of these kids. I am so gratful for how much effort they all put into this extra curricular. I am so grateful that even through this Pandemic and 4th wave, we could do this. It made my heart sweel sitting in the stands watching them play and have fun. It felt so normal. It was so good.
The whole day was filled with playing, laughing, joking around, freezing our butts off and even the high school mascott came out to join in the fun. They all got to miss an entire day of school for this and it really was "the best day ever!" Carter is also a great little football player! Making great plays and putting his entire heart onto that field! Way to go buddy!! Like I said before, that positive peer pressure is really what got Carter to commit to Flag Football and because of it he got to practise after school, miss school and compete with his two best friends. Life is so beautiful when you find the sweet moments. GOOOOOOOO DRAGONS!
