Star Light, Star Bright
Last Thursday night, Becky invited us to go watch the metior shower with her. We didn't know what to expect but she and the kids go every year and we heard it was good so we were excited to try it!
Star gazing was on our summer bucket list and it although the night was filled with baseball practice and a client photoshoot at in the mountains, we knew we needed to make it happen, especially with the clear skies and warm weather.
Oh my goodness, It was better than we even hoped it would be. We got out there around 11:15pm. We pulled out our picnic blanket and all lied down on the ground on our backs with lots of warm blaknets on top of us.
Snuggled up together was my favourite. We were all so amazed to see so many shooting stars! Big ones with long bright tales and short small ones flying accross the dark night sky. It was absoluetly amazing.
I forgot my tripod but luckily Lena had hers and got some amazing shots of the milky way and amazing sky!
It was so fun for our kids to be with some of their cousins, experiencing this together. It was cute listening to the "AH!! I SAW ONE... OVER THERE..." and little voices saying "WOoooooowwwwwwW" every few minutes.
We left around midnight and got to see a dozen shooting stars. We absolutely want to go again next year! So grateful for this new experience.
