Take me out to the ball game!
I am SO excited!! The boys have started playing baseball games and my mother heart is obsessed with them!!!! We are playing catch up and its REALLY so much of a commitment (like nearly every night and weekends) but they are LOVING it so it makes it worth it. I am legit overwhelmed with how busy it is but I wouldnt trade it for anything and definitely not complaining after a year and a bit of lock downs!
Bentley is all hands on deck! He is excited to go and counts runs and plays hard. Except for running to first base after a hit. He likes to play it cool and jog-run which drives me nutty on the sidelines lol but he always makes it so I guess thats why he does it. Silly guy haha.
Bentley has had a couple of games now and last night him and his little friend Truett were on fire! The first inning, Bentley played pitcher and Truett was first base. They got three outs right off the bat and were both on cloud nine. Then he played short stop and got a double play like a boss. Way to go Bentley, we are so proud of you! Carter is amazing too. For their first year ever of baseball we are so proud for how hard they're working to get up to the level they need to be at for their teams. Carter is usually not as excited about nightly games and practices and is normally our home body but the moment he is there, HE IS THERE! He is focused and constantly trying to improve! On his first ever baseball game, they put him as pitcher. At his age, they pitch to the batter on the other team and we couldn't believe it. He was so accurate and pitched strike after strike. Way to go Carter, you are awesome and we are so proud of you! It is so fun watching these two play. They love to win and are good sports when they loose and we just couldn't be more proud! (If you couldn't already tell by how Mama-Preachy this post is..)
I am so happy we get to watch these boys in sports again and having fun with their teams. Carter didn't know anyone on his team and its taken some time to gain his confidence and meet new kids but he's feeling apart of the team and has stepped out of his comfort zone and its paying off. We are so proud of the both of them!
As for Penny Girl. With all these late nights, she is a hot mess but is trying her best and is loving playing at the different playgrounds with friends each night. Penny deserves some credit too! Its not easy being lugged around night after night but I am grateful for her being my constant sidekick. Love you Penny Girl.
