Sixty Something!
A couple of weeks ago we celebrated my Moms birthday! How I messed my posting order... well, I'll never know. Im loosing it. Anyways, it was such a fun night! We were having my parents over for dinner and the kids wanted to make her a resturant which was so fitting because at the time, resturants weren't even open so it was perfect! They called their resturant "Nana's". So cute right!
They helped me with the menu and receipt and got all the little details sorted out. It was a super fancy meal and we were so happy to spoil her! She deserved to be spoiled after a tough year for her.
They came over right after work and the kids seated them at our "table for four". The resturant was a total surprise. She really thought she was coming over just for a simple meal. Brian and I sat with them and the kids were the servers. It was so cute watching them fill up waters and ask to take our orders. We had hawaiian chicken as an appitizer along with Sushi (which she thought she didn't like until we showed her the real good stuff!). And then we made her crab legs for dinner.
She was so happy and it made us so happy. We kept dessert light.. strawberries and whip cream. We sang her happy birthday and it was all smiles.
We were all stuffed after dinner. The kids cleared the table and handed us the receipt. Luckily, the prices were unbeatable!
Now, if you know my Mom then you know that she doesn't really like her Birthday. She always says "Its just another day" but this year we REALLY wanted her to feel loved and to love her birthday and I think she really did enjoy it (or maybe she just faked it for us lol who knows LOL I doubt it though... I can usually read her pretty well...;). We finished it off with her birthday gift. She has been lovig these double outdoor carpet ideas and so it was fun to surprise her with them.
Mom, we sure love you and hope that this birthday was one to remember! You are so special to us. Happy Sixty-Something birthday!!!!!!! LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!!
