Bentley is EIGHT!

How is it possible that Bentley is EIGHT!? I just can't believe it. Bentley is our super sweet, kind, loving, empathtic guy. He currently loves Mario and is really into The Nightmare before Christmas and that was exactly the theme he chose for his Bday! Bentley did the same thing as Penny and chose to forgo a birthday party but be spoiled by us! This Day did not dissapoint. Bentley was on cloud 9 the entire day and Brian and I are completely exhausted sooo... it was a success!!

We went to a Halloween get together last night and didnt get home until late so everyone HAD to stay in bed until at least 8am because we wanted the day to be successfull without cranky kiddos. All three of them were in our room, Bentley completely dressed, at 8am on the dot! He was SO excited to start his day off. At 10pm last night Bentley said he REALLY wanted lucky charms for breakfast (which we didnt have) so at 11pm I made a quick run to the corner store to buy lucky charmes for the morning. It was all worth it when he said.. "Mom did you trick me? We did have them!" I replied with "No, I didn't trick you, I went out super late and bought them because I knew you wanted them for breakfast" he ran and gave me a great big hug.. it was worth that hug and smile anyday!

Last last night, Brian and I decorated the main dining area for Bentley's birthday. We did a spooky skeleton/nightmare before Christmas theme. Bentley was SO HAPPY when he came down stairs and saw it all.

After breakfast, was gifts. The best part. I had Bentley worried all week by saying things like "Yikes, I hope you like your gifts... Im really not sure if you will" even though we knew he would because he's been begging for this LEGO for months. His expressions say it all! First he opened the card that Carter made him.

Next he opened the cute little drawings that Penny made for him. She drew him a skeleton and a Bat and Bentley was SO sweet and complemented her so much when he opened them. It was a burst your heart kind of moment.

Then it was time to be beyond spoiled and open the gifts from Mom & Dad. His expressions were to die for! He was SO happy and SO excited!!!!

He was bursting with excitment and then Grandma and Grandpa Reed stopped by and spoiled him some more!

Grandma & Grandpa Gardiner stopped by next and just when we thought there was nothing else he could possibly need or want, they gave him $25 cash and $10 cash from Great-Grandma Mockler! Oh boy, he was so gratful and happy.

Bentley spent the entire Day with Carter by his side, making his heaps of Lego and playing with it. He still isnt quite done but it getting closer! For dinner, Bentley requested "Bugs and Cheese and chicken on the bone" and we had just that! Bug noodles with cheesy alfrado sauce and salt and pepper chicken wings. It was delishous and totally hit the spot before trick-or-treating.

Sweet Bentley always asks for ice cream cakes. Although they arent the nicest looking cakes, I will argue that they are the best tasting and Bentley thinks so too! We sang this sweet boy Happy Birthday and shared his yummy cake.

Bentley, sweetheart, we love you so much. There will never be a day that I dont want to share with you. You make this family so happy. You are genuinly so wonderful and I love you. Although your years seem to be slipping by so fast, I love the little man you are becomming. You are wise beyond your years. You, still to this date, are the best snuggler. In fact, Bentley wanted to cuddle tonight before bed and it was so sweet to take that moment and just be in that moment with him. I love my time with Bentley. I am so proud of you. I am so proud to be your Mom. Happy 8th Birthday my love. I love celebrating you.
