May-ish
Every month has just felt so "weird" since the corona virus has taken over. May feels weird too. No school really throws us off but we're working hard despite feeling wildly unmotivated most days. We've been having MANY MANY family movie nights in the basement and usually it involves "treat plates" which I can't argue with because, hello! They're SO YUMMY!

We even had time to fully celebrate "May the Fourth" - Star Wars Day!

How cute are they! We've done A TON of birthday honking birthdays where we drive by with balloons hanging out the window and happy birthday signs yelling Happy Birthday as we drive by. We love it but somehow I always end up tearing up! Its hard to only see people from a distance all of the time.
We're trying really hard to fill our days with things OTHER THAN screen but somehow it seems like we have 50 hours in a day to try to fill. Its amazing how many things we can actually do in a day when we're actually motivated. Aside from our morning school which is usually done before 10am we have been doing experiments and crafts and long drives. This week we made some homemade play doh which turned out great and kept everybody entertained for a while! Bonus!

We also went on a nature drive and tried to find as many fun animals as we could! We really were looking for moose (my dream!) but we didn't find any however, we did come across an elk and buffalo farm which was pretty neat!

I love going on drives with them. We listen to loud music and sign along, dance and breath that of so perfectly fresh air. I love the company of these three in the beautiful prairies that are basically in our backyard.

We've even found a few families to socially distance with. We don't touch and stay far enough apart but it has been GLORIOUS for our Mental health. Everyone is getting tired of this, its a lot to handle and can be quite lonely so having people to see and social distance with has literally saved us so many times. Plus, how cool is it to have friends on an acreage who have amazing cool toys to share! So fun!!

We're SO happy Brian has the weekend off and that we can just be together and maybe get in a hike or two! Happy Friday!
