Spring Break 2020
We were so excited for Spring Break this year. Mostly because homeschool is kicking our butts and having a break from that sounded glorious. And it was. Although spring break was a little weird too. We're asked to "Stay Home" and to "Only go out when needed" but also its spring break and we're all dying to get out and do something! Its strange being held hostage in your own space. I never really understood how much I needed outside until now. Mental Health crisis is on the rise!
So, we didn't go anywhere in particular and kept to ourselves. We did go for a few walks around our community though and just made sure to avoid other people.

It is sad to see all the playgrounds taped off. No one is aloud to go on them at all. It makes for a very difference spring for sure.

We also met up with Brian for lunch a couple of times. On Thursday we secretly went to Peters-Drive-In and bought lunch and brought it to his work with a picnic blanket. We drove to the closest Parking lot and shared a special and yummy lunch with him. It was nice to snatch him away from work for an hour and to bring him a fun little surprise! We all agreed this should be happening daily HA!

We explored downtown and drove around finding all the mansions! We even did a little workout on those amazing stairs over looking the city skyline. The fresh air was good for the soul.

We've been on multiple bike rides as well..

We have spent countless hours, multiple times a day in the hot tub.

And we even borrowed Brian's Parents Basketball hoop this week for some much needed Ball time on the deck!

We have watched WAY TOO MUCH TV one day and none the next. We have laughed and cried and fought and basically loved as hard as possible during this tricky spring break. I don't know how I feel about it ending and starting home school again next week. A part of me is so sad, I want another free week but the other part of me feels like everyday in this pandemic is one day closer to being done it... so bring it on! Im anxious for life to feel normal again. One thing is for certain though... having these three with me, through thick and thin, makes me feel blessed beyond measure.
