Ice Fishing Fun
FINALLY! Im caught up on my blogging and it feels so good! Today we did something super fun! We met up with my Brother and nieces and my brother in-law and his two older boys. WE WENT ICE FISHING! I have never done this before and I LOVED every minute of it! Well, ok, that's a lie... I didn't love the moment my phone fell off my lap and gracefully plopped into our small fishing hole and gracefully went 20 feet down into the lake.. that part wasn't fun.. and made our day incredibly expensive because I had to buy a new one but other then that.. it was a blast!
Im so grateful for my brother and taking us all out Ice Fishing. Such a cool activity to try. So nice that he had all the gear and so many awesome tips! We caught two tiny little fish.. which the kids LOVED.
It was so fun to see all the little boys naturally huddle around Uncle Tyler drilling the very first fishing hole. Their faces totally lit up and the excitement sunk in.
We set up the hooks and line and set the flags and then we waited.
We had a few different fishing spots going and sat in the tent a lot of the time. The kids had a blast with their sleds and running around all over the ice. All in all, a WONDERFUL day!
Finally, Tyler caught the first little fish. The excitement was out of this world! All the kids ran over, yelling "WE CAUGHT A FISH" They each took turns passing it around, holding it and laughing at it flopping around. Next, I caught a fish... Taytum reeled it in and he was SO PROUD of his accomplishment.
It was such a fun day. We spent 5 hours out on that ice and I can't wait to go again! I love having new adventures with our family. Such a fun day!
