Be Positive

Its easy to sit here and say.. Life has been full of crappiness the last few months. Because it has. We have been sick, Brian's broken hand, our little George going back to heaven, Brian's car completely died and isn't repairable and most recently, Brian got laid off of work. Brian got laid off on November 25th. No explanation, just sign here. They dissolved his position and in an instant we went from a working family to nothing. Wow. Talk about a humbling experience. We both have had many moments of peace with this entire situation which has literally been a saving grace because Im just waiting for my anxiety to kick into full gear but so far, Ive been ok. This has given us time to reflect on our way of living. We have made some adjustments like a new phone plan and canceling cable .. which we have been meaning to do for months but have just been so busy.

Brian has been working on his resume and networking like crazy to try to find the right fit for himself and I am so proud of him.

He has been working really hard. I know that Brian has a lot to bring to the table and has the best work ethic and honestly works his butt off so I know he would be an asset anywhere he ends up, but what I really hope for is for him to find a job that HE loves. One that he loves the people he works with and that he's motivated to get up and get going in the morning.

I just really want him to be happy. Of course I'm frustrated in the way it was handled, right before Christmas, but I know that God is in the details of our lives and I find peace and comfort knowing that. We are excited for the future and what it holds and are anxious to find a new job for Brian with something he is passionate about.

Trying not to make myself feel like the world is crashing down around us. Trying to take it day-by-day. Trying to remain positive and optimistic. Key word, trying. Of course we are both nervous and praying like crazy but somehow we also both have peace and for right now, that's what we're holding on to.
