Life is a Circus!

Next week, Penny turns FIVE! Say what?! How is our baby turning FIVE? I don't know but Im going so save my thoughts on that for next weeks post because for now, she's still four and I'm going to hold onto that to the very last moment!

Yesterday we had Penny's 5th birthday party. IT WAS A BLAST! She chose a circus theme! How fun! We handed out her invitations about a month ago and luckily all the kids were able to come (except her one little girlfriend but they got to play today which was extra special and fun for her!)

Penny has such a great personality and makes friends with anyone and everyone! She is inclusive and kind and is always up for making more friends... hence why she invited 17 kids to her birthday party! She would have invited more if I let her, but there had to be a cut off at some point!

Penny and I made her cake together on Tuesday, I think they turned out cute!

We put all the treat bags together too!

And a couple of weeks ago I made this little circus Car so that her and each of her friends could take a picture in it. Such a treasure! This is her best friend, Truett, these two are the cutest little friends you EVER did see!! My heart just explodes! In fact, last week penny told me this story after school

There is another boy in their kindergarten class named Lorenzo...

Lorenzo says: Hey Truett, come here, I have a secret...

Penny says: Can I come too?

Lorenzo says: No, just Truett

(Truett goes over and listens to the secret and the walks back over to Penny)

Penny says: Truett, that broke my heart..

Truett Says: Don't worry Penny, I didn't even hear the secret anyways

Penny then explained to me: "Don't worry mom, I know it was an accident... Truett didnt mean to break my heart and he didnt actually break my heart.. he just put a crack in it".

I NEARLY DIED! Trying to hold in my laughter (how does she even come up with this stuff!?) They really are the cutest!

After the kids came in and got their picture taken, they all went off to work on some puzzles while we set up the pizza.

We served cheese pizza and fresh veggies for dinner and it was a HUGE hit!

Next, we rushed through the gifts, one after another, Penny was spoiled and felt SO SPECIAL! She loved every single gift, we are so grateful for her thoughtful friends.

Cant forget the cake too!!

Next we had the following hour on the field with a big bounce castle and huge balls. They kids RAN LIKE CRAZY for the entire hour! They all had SO MUCH FUN!

Penny has spent the whole day playing with her new toys... she's been so happy and so content, all her dreams come true!

She will be reminiscing for the rest of forever about her circus party and all her friends who made her feel so special!
