Chaparral Ward Young Women's Camp 2019

Wow. Just Wow. I am in awe at the many blessings we had to make camp so amazing. Last September I was called into the Young Women's presidency as the 1st councillor. I was excited but truly so worried about girls camp knowing that I would have to be involved AND go to camp.

Our presidency has worked COUNTELSS hours to put camp together. We found an amazing campground with lots of fun things for the girls to do! There was a zipline, archery, swimming, kayaks, canoes, paths for walking, flush toilets, showers and cabins! Dream right?! It really was as wonderful as it sounds.











Camp was AMAZING! We were expecting it to rain like crazy (because the weather app said 100% chance of rain and flash flood warnings!) but the Lord blessed us so much and answered all our prayers. It hardly rained at all! We were able to do everything we wanted to and we all had a great time!

We had 36 girls aged eleven to eighteen attend camp and they were all so good. We are so lucky to have them in our ward.



The others leaders and I got so much closer at camp and I am so grateful for this chick! This wonderful gal is Chelsea. She is currently our YWs president and I worked hand in hand with her. We really did gain a whole new level of love for each other at camp and I am so glad I got to do this with her. She is amazing and everyone should have a Chelsea to run the YW program with!



We have made some lasting memories, some amazing relationships and above everything else, we have felt the love of the lord! I am so lucky to be apart of this amazing group!
