Kitchen Update!
Since we moved into this home 3 and a half years ago, I have wanted to paint the kitchen but because I had done it in our previous home, I knew exactly how much work it was going to be and have been nervous about actually digging my heels in and getting it done. An old friend of mine from High School recently painted her kitchen and posted pictures of it on social media. IT WAS STUNNING and just the motivation I needed to finally do it! So thank you Courtney, I finally did my kitchen and I LOVE IT!
If you ever feel like you want to feel like a 99 year old woman as well as sweat, miss meals and be so tired that your eyes might fall out of your face, you should totally paint your kitchen! It only took me 15 million hours and 4 days to do it!
Ok, fine, all kidding aside, I worked my butt off but it was SOOOOOO worth it all! I did two coats of primer, and two coats of paint on everything. Last time we painted our kitchen, I was tired and cut corners. I did two coats of primer and only one coat of paint and forever regretted it because to me, it was noticeable so this time I did 4 coats total and it made the world of a difference!
However, the only problem with painting your kitchen white is that you QUICKLY realize how not white everything else is. Our "white" baseboards and windows immediately looks old and gross. So naturally I painted just the kitchen ones. Then I saw how not white the living room ones so .. so two coats on those baseboards and window too. Then I looked at the hallway... and well, you get it. In the end, I painted every baseboard, door, and window trims on the main level. Oh, and repainted all the walls because why not. ***I got way out of control BUTTTTTT everything looks brand new and fresh and oh so clean! Im so happy!
Ok, enough talking.. here is our kitchen before!

And here is after!

Ta-Da! So so happy with it and also even more happy it's done!
