Carter's 8th Bday Party
After being completely overwhelmed with Bentley's birthday party at our house last month, we chose to do Carter's party at a location instead. He decided on Laser Quest and it was a BLAST for everyone. He had 14 friends come to celebrate him. What a lucky boy!
We again had his Party on a Wednesday (because that's Brian's day off) and it was great because aside from one birthday party just finishing up when we arrived, we were the only ones there! Carter did an "all boy party" this year which actually I think he kinda regretted because he has so many great friends who are girls so I wonder if he would do that again next year or not. Nonetheless they all were running around, dancing the Macarena and coming up with silly names to play Laser tag with.
Carter helped me with the details of the party. He chose the things for the treat bag. He chose the cupcakes and the toppers. He chose the candles and the colours of the table cloths. I love this boy so so much!!
The kids all played two rounds of Laser Tag and they all did GREAT! Since we were the only people there, It was only our party in the whole game (both times) which made it even more fun for them!
After the first round, everyone stood around carter and sang him happy birthday as loud as they could while he got covered in toilet paper, it was awesome!
Round two was the real deal and those kids were fierce! Checking score cards and devouring pizza was the perfect remedy for sweaty, tired kids!
We quickly did gifts and cupcakes and then everyones parents started showing up. Carter was absolutely spoiled by all his friends. Everyone was so kind to him, wrote him THE SWEETEST messages in birthday cards and genuinely celebrated him. Our hearts were full.
His party was a total success, we love this sweet boy to pieces and we're so happy he had so much fun! After the party we headed back home. The night was over and it was bedtime but not before my parents stopped by to share his bday gift with him a couple weeks early. This is mostly because I asked them to. Carter has been BEGGING and non stop talking about this one specific Beyblade. It is very rare (apparently) and literally it was ALL he talked about. I couldn't handle it any longer knowing that my mom went out of her way to order it online for Carter for his bday.
Well, Carter was on CLOUD 9! Look at how happy it made him!
Thanks Mom & Dad for making his birthday wish come true, he sure loves you guys and knows the work you had to do to get it for him. Now we need to figure out what we're getting him for his birthday LOL
I can't believe in a couple of week that our first born will be eight years old.
