Take me out to the ball game...
This week has been hard. Like really challenging. The kids have been non-stop fighting, crying and annoying each other and I hit my breaking point mid-week and now I just feel... numb. I am exhusted and I would be lying if I said my anxiety wasn't back. Urg. So to top it all off, I get those heart racing, awful thoughts and feeling sad and numb emotions in the midst of everything this week. Thank goodness its Friday!!
Its also our anniversary today and I get to escape on a date (Hallelujah!) tonight (thanks mom!) but I'll save the super lovey-dovie post for later.
Yesterday was no different than the rest of the week but we've been stuck inside with me having an awful cough and the horrible wild fires and smoke covered city. So last night we went out late, which I though would just be complete torture taking the kids out way past bedtime, but actually it was awesome! It was exactly what we needed! Brian's has been playing casual baseball every Thursday night and so last night I took the kids to his game.
We all had a great time! Getting outside was great. Watching Brian in his element was great and the kids totally behaved (win, win, win!)

Just before the game started, the boys found a grasshopper. Brian caught it and they each took a turn holding it (poor little grasshopper lol)

We ate Popcorn and high-chews, played on the sidelines and cheered Brian on!

I must admit, Brian's a pretty good baseball player! Not that I ever doubted he would be, but he hit a great home run and made it around a few times with some awesome hits. He's also a pretty fast runner! I used to run track and always tell myself I could beat him but now I'm not so sure... looks like we need to have a race now to see.

Brian, we love you like crazy! We were so excited to come see you play baseball, you killed it!
