Cat Creek

This past weekend was so much fun! We celebrated our 11 year wedding anniversary on Friday and on Saturday we took the kids to Cat Creek Falls Hike and then to stay in a hotel Saturday night! We ate pizza for dinner "IN OUR BEDROOM!?" (-Carter) swam in the pool, ate way too much candy while watching movies and just hung out.

I did bring my camera, as I usually do, but I didn't put a memory card in it so it was pointless and we ended up with truly a fantastic weekend with crappy iPhone photos. O-well!

A few of my sister-in-laws did Cat Creek Falls earlier in the week and then when they told me about it, it sounded perfect! So we decided to do it too. It was a really quick 30 minutes up and 30 minutes down hike. Not too hard and the kids loved it! The top of the hike had the waterfall and it was so pretty.











We stayed and played there for probably 30 minutes climbing on everything and trying to skip rocks. I love making these little memories with our family. Penny and I were panicking a little because of the grizzly and black bear warning but we made it out without any sight of bears (and thank goodness because I would have been freaking out ha!)







We made it to the hotel around 4pm and just partied the rest of the time until we all crashed around 10:30. Penny, Bentley and I squished into a bed and truly I hardly slept and felt so cramped and sore but it was worth every snuggle that night. Brian and Carter slept in the there bed and I think they probably slept ok. Playing in the pool was their favourite and the slide was INSANELY fast!



Its moments like these that we all will cherish for years. Here's to another great week ahead!
