Sunday is a day of rest (unless water balloons are involved).

Well, this past weekend was productive, relaxing and fun! The kids helped Brian work on his super old RC race car while I was working at photoshoots this past Saturday and they're hoping to have it all up and running this weekend! They are all very excited. I love so much that Penny has no problem getting her hands dirty to help her Daddy out.





Sunday was a great day too. We went to church and filled our souls. I read a quote from David A. Bednar that said "If today you are a littler better than you were yesterday, than that's enough". It really spoke to me. I think all too often we forget that trying every day to be a little more kind, a little more gentle, a little more understanding and (for me) having just a little more faith, is really where it counts. It was a beautiful reminder.



We were also invited to Sunday dinner at my parents house where my Dad had been planning a water balloon annihilation with over 900 water balloons ready to go (go big or go home right?!).

We started off easy.. just tossing them with a towel back and forth and trying to cath them without popping them.





Penny was a great little balloon helper anytime someone needed a new one, she was right there!







And of course, she took the opportunity when it came to get her Daddy.



It has been so nice to have my Grandparents here from Montreal still as well. They got a real kick out of the water balloon entertainment and its fun for my mom to see her mom and to spoil her!



The real war was about to begin but first Brian, my Dad and the kids warmed up with a few balloon launches. The kids were LOVING it. Right before the balloon would land too close, they would all run away and the balloon would smash on the ground splashing all of them. It was so much fun until the very last balloon (of course it would be the very last one haha)















Carter took that ballon straight to the face. His feet came off the ground and he landed right on his back. In the end, he was totally fine and not traumatized too badly because he still participated willingly in the real water balloon fight.

Maverick was so cute just watching by the sidelines with the grandparents..





And after an incredible (and I mean, incredible) meal.. the kids ran around eating kinder eggs, freezies and playing in the pool.



It truly was such a great day and totally one for the books! Thanks Mom and Dad for all the effort you put into entertaining and hosting all of us, we seriously appreciate it (soooo fun!)!
