It's a Fibroadenoma, I am so relieved!

The results are in and its exactly what we were praying it would be. The mass in my breast is a Fibroadenoma. Not Cancerous!

I got a call from my doctors office yesterday saying that they had my results and that she would like for me to come in the following morning to discuss them but before she hung up she gave me the reassurance that it was not cancer. The amount of weight I felt lifted off my shoulders when she said that was intense. I cried. I am so relieved.

This morning I had my two side kicks, Bentley and Penny with me at my appointment. Carter was already in school.

We waited for 45 minutes before she came in and it felt soooooo good to hear the word "Fibroadenoma" come out of her mouth. She explained to me that a Fibroadenoma is a noncancerous breast lump. Women who have a Fiberadonoma have denser breast tissue and because of that there is a slightly higher risk of breast cancer but she said I don't have to worry and she believes it will be a non-issue going forward.

I was also given the option to have it removed, to which I immediately replied... NO thank you. If its not causing problems and now that we know exactly what it is, I would prefer not to have any extra scar tissue. She said that Fibroadenoma's are related to hormones (**poor Brian is married to a hormone crazy woman lol)

In all seriousness, I am so beyond grateful for the amount of support I had during this scary time. I felt your prayers and I knew I had so many people in my corner no matter what the outcome would be. I had so many people private message me about their experiences similar to mine and it gave me great comfort to hear their successes. I am truly so grateful for this blog and for the village it has created for us. Life likes to through curve balls, it can be uncertain and draining. It can be exhausting and unsettling but having a village somehow makes it bearable so thank you to everyone who stood in my corner. I am in your corner too.
