Dear Penny
I never knew how much I wanted a daughter until I had you. I was fully prepared to have three boys. I even had a perfect baby boy named picked out. The moment the ultrasound tech said "its a girl!" I started to ugly cry. I sobbed like no one has ever sobbed before. I wanted you so badly. Fast forward almost three years and my heart is bursting with love for you. You have such a tender heart. You take care of your baby dolls as if they were real. You rock them and sing to them. You tap their bums and burp them until they "feel better". You have 10 different dollies but you know each individual baby as their own. I on the other hand have a hard time with all the different babies... in my defence, every single one of your babies is named "Maverick" (after your adorable baby cousin). You also have a complete tantrum if I accidently bring you the wrong Maverick dolly at bedtime. Its a serious business you and those babies. You love your family so much and are very vocal about it. I cherish every moment you randomly say "Mommy, I LOVE you SOOO much!". Your scrunchy nose smile is to die for too. Those are my favourite moments.
Everything about you is so fun. You LOVVVEEEE putting "lips" on and at least 3 times a week you find my hidden hot pink or red lip stain and you make yourself look like a beautiful clown. and because its lip stain.. it stays on for more than one day... its really a miraculous sight to behold.
Penny, your brothers ADORE YOU. They care for you and are always concerned when you cry. They are so excited to celebrate your birthday. They remind you of it everyday.
Penny, you have gotten so big in such a short period of time. I cant believe how fast the time has gone. It seems like only a short time ago you were snuggled up in our bed as a bran new little baby. Now you are getting to be so big and develop the most contagious and fun personality of all!
There are so many things that i love doing with you. We paint our nails together, do our hair together, and I still try to dress you as much as you'll let me. We have a special bond. You are my little lady. I love you Penny girl.
Last week, one of Penny's little besties, Navy, invited us over to play. She LOVES "baby Navy". My friend Chelsea has such a talent behind her. She can whip up the cutest little clothes you ever did see. She was so sweet and made Penny the CUTEST little outfit. I am just in love with it and couldn't help but share some pretty little pictures. Thank you Chelsea so much for putting in the time, the effort and most importantly the love into this little number.. Penny LOVES it and she is so proud to say she is dressed like Navy. (We need a picture of the two of these girls together!) We are so lucky to have great friends who share their talents with us. THANK YOU!!
