Well, that was fun!
This past week has been wonderful and BUSY! I had a couple of photoshoots amongst it all and it was great! On Thursday, I volunteered at Carter's school. They had a Bird guy come in and talk to all the kids about birds! The different kinds, what they like, where they live, what their eggs and nests look like and then each kid got to make their own bird house! It was so fun for me to watch Carter in the classroom, working as a team with his classmates and helping him and another little boy, make their birdhouses. We hung ours up in the backyard and we are hoping for a nest inside of it! So far we have seen quite a few little swallows go in and out but no nest yet!

On Friday, Brian and a couple of buddies went camping. I mean, the true camping. He packed a 50 pound backpack and they left Friday morning. Hiked a two and a half hour hike to a camping spot... were there wasn't even a toilet! (I need a toilet to camp lol.. and a shower.. and probably a bed... amongst all the other luxuries I would bring with me if I could lol)
The view looked beautiful though and they had a great time!

So while they did that, I took the three kids on a Date! We secretly bought tickets to the circus and when we picked up Carter from school, we went straight there! (excuse the iPhone photos.. I know they're terrible!)

The kids had a blast and watching their little worried faces when big acts went to do their thing was adorable! We had so much fun!
Saturday morning we kept ourselves busy too. Starting at 5:30am (Thank you Penny). I was so tired I felt like my eyes were bleeding but we just went on! I took the kids to the "Reptile Expo" and met up with Kaylee and her daughter Aria and Jarren met us there too with Lucy and Reed! I should have brought my camera but to be honest I wasn't expecting much and I truly thought Penny would be freaking out the entire time since she is currently terrified of lady bugs and spiders and any kind of "bug" so I thought I would be holding her the whole time. Anyway, the Reptile Expo was SO MUCH FUN! Way better than I was expecting! All the kids were excited to hold the snakes and little lizards and Penny wasn't really scared at all! I was impressed!

Right before we left, the kids all sat together to hold this 50 pound snake! How cool is that!? See that sign that says "birthday Parties" behind them.. I think that will be in our near future!

We finished the afternoon off at the lake with Kaylee and Aria and it was wonderful! Great weather and even better company!

I cannot even stand how cute Penny and Aria are together. My heart could burst every time they held hands or chased each other with the water guns! They're so cute together!

It really was the perfect day.

We rented a paddleboat too while we were there and Kaylee and I really felt the burn of our legs lol we got to the middle of the lake for a break (and to admire the amazing houses that back onto the lake with pools in their backyards!) I asked if anyone wanted to jump in for a minute and Carter says "I will if you do it first mom!" So i put my hair up and in I went. THAT WATER WAS SO COLD IT TOOK MY BREATH AWAY! And once I was in Carter looked at me and said "JUST KIDDING" lol what a little stinker! Thankfully Aria come for a mini swim with me before I got back on!

I was surprised at how much Carter was into the sand this time. He was COVERED and so happy about it!

We finished the day off by meeting up with Brian and Matt (once they were home from camping) and went out for burgers and milkshakes which I immediately regretted the moment I got home and felt so ill. But truly, it was such a fun weekend! Back to reality tomorrow!
