Pumpkin, Mummies and Slime!

I have been wanting to do fun things with the kids so much lately BUT life is busy and exhausting and well to be honest.. I cant even keep up keeping my kitchen clean. However this is important to me. These moments are important to me. Spending time with the little ones who won't always want to spend time with me.. that is what really matters so this past week we have had some fun!

Last Friday we picked up my mom after she got home from work and headed over to the corn maze. This place is amazing! We've been many times before and it never disappoints!

The kids ran right away to the "Big Carpet slide". And can I just say.. why is Penny all of a sudden looking SO OLD!? What the heck.. I cut her bangs and BANG... she's practically a teenager!

The kids had so much fun and were so excited that Grandma came with us this time around. We knew the couple of hours at the corn maze was successful when we noticed how absolutely filthy the kids were.. head to toe! Giving them a bath that night.. my tub was literally black!

We have also really been enjoying our new chalkboard wall in the kitchen! Seriously, best thing ever! We practise writing, letters, numbers, names on it and everyday I get to see cute little pictures that the kids draw whenever they feel like it. Today, we made pumpkins!

I never used to be a very big Halloween fan but since Bentley's birthday is Halloween, Ive had to step up my Halloween game the last few years and when that happens... this happens...

Best use of one large toilet paper roll to date ... hands down! At first the boys were like... "I am NOT dressing up as a Mommy".. I said "Not a Mommy.. a MUMMY"... that made no sense to them.. obviously, but once we did it, they both thought it was hilarious and we had fun. Penny however was not interested at all.

We also tested out making homemade Halloween slime! How fun! It really only took 10 minutes and was pretty easy too. Carter is JUST like his Dad and HATES glitter apparently so he didn't want to touch it once we stuck glitter in it. I really had to play with it and show him that my hands were still clear of glitter before he was into playing with it.
