Some precious memories.

A few weeks ago, my grandparents came to visit from Montreal. I was really looking forward to their visit. Its been almost 3 years since we last saw them and they had never met Penny and Bentley was just a couple of months old when they saw him last so needless to say a visit was well overdue. While they were here, life was as busy as usual but we still made time to be together. My Grandmother's birthday is at the beginning of October and because we never really get to celebrate with her, we decided to do a little girls afternoon and take her on a well deserved birthday date! My mom, my grandmother, my sister and I all went out for pedicures, dinner and we finished off the evening with a Starbucks and a look around Chapters! It was nice to be together.

My mom and I showed my grandma how to can pickles. Of course, my Dad, my grandfather and Brian were there making sure every opportunity they had to slip a joke in was done. We all had a good laugh and canned 14 jars of pickles together for my mom.

We even had my grandparents over for dinner one evening..

...nothing like watching the Jay's game between your Grandpa and Great-Grandpa!

But the thing I will take away most from their visit is that for years.. and I mean YEARS, I have been wanting pictures of my grandparents. Really nice pictures. When my Mom asked me if I could do some when they came, I was so excited and of course I did!

It was so fun for our children to get to know their other set of great-grandparents. It was so fun to take these pictures and pause these precious memories in time and just savour the moment. All the stress of outfits and tired children went away and now we have these sweet memories to cherish.

I love you so much Grandma & Grandpa Mockler. I am so grateful that you came to visit. We had such a fun time with you and look forward to the next visit. You will always be so special to me and hold a special place in our hearts and in our home! Love you so much!
