Sigh..
I cannot believe its been a month! Literally 4 weeks of this craziness! Four weeks ago Penny decided to figure out how to climb out of her crib, open the doors and do her business in the potty.. all in a 24 hour span. It all sounds amazing doesn't it. My baby potty trained and independent. NOT!
This whole potty training business is her deal. I was not ready to potty train her yet. Let's be realistic here.. potty training is the worst part of parenting. At least for me! Carter was a full 6 months of potty training before I fully trusted him and even then he had accidents here and there. Bentley was a miracle potty trainer, one day and one accident later and he was done and good to go! Penny though, she is stubborn. She wants to potty train but only on her own terms. When I think about it, she either has super great days or terrible days. Ive wanted to quit more than I would like to admit and have actually quit twice now. Each time putting her back in a diaper and taking a sigh of relief. The only problem... even when she is in a diaper, she will more often then not, take it off and tell me she has to go potty. But FOUR weeks! This is seeming like its taking forever and I don't want to di it for 6 months again. Im torn and change my mind everyday. Even this morning when she woke up I put a clean diaper on her, but she keeps taking it off and going potty.
It really does sound so much better as I write it down but seriously, in the moments of cleaning off pee and poop on my carpet, I feel done. She does look super cute sitting there though!

So now that she's still mid potty training Id say, and in a big girl bed and turning TWO in a little over a month, I really feel like my baby is gone. We have hit the "terrible two's" like nobody's business and I probably should get toothpicks to hold my eyeballs open from the amount of exhaustion I feel but somehow as Mother's we find it in us to keep on going.
Penny's little dresser also fell on her about 4 weeks ago and then I learned that there was a recall on it for that exact reason. Luckily it was only on her little legs and nothing was broken. Somehow she wasn't even bruised.. my little lady is made of steel I think. I took it back and bought her the same one as the boys have. And since she was no longer staying in her crib.. EVER, and once she climbed out of it she couldn't get back in it, it was time to pull out the big girl bed. I cried a little setting up her new little room. Im not ready to be done with my baby but I really have no choice. It turned out cute. It took her a couple of weeks to finally stay in her bed and not sleep on her floor the whole night but she's got it now and is going great in her new big girl room.

I love you so much Penny girl. If you could please slow down the tantrums, screaming and constantly climbing on EVERYTHING that would be lovely!
Sincerely, your really exhausted, completely obsessed with you, Mama!
