Family Photos 2016
Last Friday after Brian got home from work, we rushed out to do our own family photos. We felt rushed and knew the kids only had a small time frame in the evening before bed but we were determined to "get them done and out of the way" for the summer! We usually do the "woodsy" photos. And usually in the fall but this year I wanted something totally different. Fun and different!
So we got the kids dressed. This sounds way easier than it was. Carter LOVES picking his own outfits and is very particular about what he wears. He loves Lego Ninjago shirts, shark shirts, his batman shirt... basically every shirt that is not made for family photos. It took a good 5 minutes to convince him that Mommy gets to pick what he wears on "special days" and he gets to choose what he wears every other day. Sometimes its a real struggle but he put on his clothes and had a good attitude.
We got downtown and started searching for a cool back alley. It was crazy busy so our exploring got cut short and we just picked one.. and I loved it! It had a cool black brick wall and a more classic washed out brick wall. Perfect!
I am so happy we did this! We set up the tripod and started shooting away! Only problem.. is that Penny HATES pictures. She really has ZERO interest in being involved and my top priority was trying to keep her happy and not cry but get her in the photo. We did the best we could by letting her run around until the very last moment before the camera clicked and I would grab her and tell her to look for her souther in the camera so she would look in that direction. I know, I know.. Im so sneaky!

The boys did GREAT! I am actually so happy of how well they cooperated. They were great little listeners and it all went really quick because of it!

I am so lucky to have those three little cuties in my life and I am also so lucky to have these handsome guys in my life. I know that they are good boys.. as much as the drive me crazy sometimes, they have big hearts and cute little spirits and the worlds best Daddy to show them the ropes!

I am thankful that this little lady belongs to us. She really is my little buddy and I am so excited to get to do the girly things with her! She means so so much to us!

And last but defiantly not least, I am incredibly thankful for this Man. He is my everything. He makes me so excited to roll over and see him every morning. He makes my hard days easier and he always seems to catch me when I fall. I can not even describe the crazy love I have for this man. I love his whole heart. He is an incredible Father, Husband and a devoted Christian Man. He is too good for me and yet loves me more than ever. We tease each other and are witty together. I love that about him. He makes me laugh like no one else can and to simply put it.. I absolutely adore this Man.

We never get pictures together since one of us is usually behind the camera so after the kids were done with photos, we buckled them into the car, gave them each a little treat for being so good and took some together with the tripod and I am so happy we took the extra 5 minutes to do that.
I LOVE YOU RBIAN REED!!!!!!!
